Day 3 - March 1, 2017 - Hong Kong

After a really nice breakfast at the hotel, we walked a mile or so along the waterfront up to the old cruise terminal at Star Ferry Terminal.  There was an abundance of signs  denoting 'Do Not . . .'  plus a really cool bear statute.  The architecture of the city is stunning and varied.

Back at the hotel we were divided into 4 groups of around 30 people to visit a bird park (where men take their pet birds to socialize and have man to man time), a beautiful flower market, a Buddhist temple where religion and fortune telling and horse racing cross paths, and a Buddhist nunnery.  We were back to the hotel by 3pm, and then headed out to successfully find a spare camera battery and get a small snack to tide us over until our 7pm dinner.

We also found the Ultra cool HK Science museum (free on Wednesday) which is filled with hands on exhibits to help kids and adults understand all different types of sciences.  There was even a demonstration in Chinese of liquid nitrogen.  Next door they were preparing a Star Wars exhibit in the Museum of History.  This exhibit will open tomorrow.

At the 10 course dinner tonight we were seated by bus number.  Ours is 'C'.  The dinner was wonderful.

Tomorrow we head to Macau and then on to the mainland the next day.  Stay tuned for more.
